All the Food We Tasted

All the food we tasted on the day we went for this review.

Porridge (Khao Tom)
We tasted 3 types of porridge: Porridge with Taro, White Porridge with Pandan Leaves, and Butterfly Pea Porridge with Job’s Tear.

The rice was not mushy and had an aroma of Pandan leaves. Personally, I feel they differ only in the toppings. You can choose the one you like.

Fried Roast Pork
It appears dry, yet surprisingly soft. It has a salty taste with a mild seasoning aroma and a slight sourness similar to Fermented Thai Pork Sausage.

Hot Pot Steamed Eggs
The soft steamed egg is topped with squid, shrimp, and a lot of shrimp roe. In terms of flavor, this dish is more subtle than the rest.

Spicy Chinese Sausage Salad
High-quality Chinese sausages that are not too fatty, cut into large, satisfying pieces. The salad dressing is sour, salty, and spicy, which complements the sweetness of the sausage very well.

Stir-fried Crab with Curry Powder
The stir-fried crab meat with a flavorful sauce that has a hint of curry aroma. Despite the high price, this dish is delicious and has generous portions of crab meat.

Stir-fried Pork Liver with Garlic
The liver is tender, with a delightful blend of saltiness, sweetness, and garlic aroma. However, if you prefer well-cooked liver, you may not like this dish.

Stir-fried Sea Bass Fillet with Garlic
The sea bass fillets are fresh, lightly battered, and fried until crispy. This dish is perfectly balanced with salty, sweet, and a hint of spiciness. Delicious!

Stir-fried Crispy Pork with Pickled Pear Garlic
The pickled pear garlic gives this dish a dominant salty and sour flavor, balanced by the smoothness of eggs and well complemented by large pieces of crispy pork.

Stir-fried Yellow Garlic Chives with Crispy Pork
Crispy Yellow Garlic Chives go very well with a blend of sweet and salty flavor and a mild aroma from the wok (Wok Hei). They topped it with large pieces of crispy pork. Superb.

Fried King Mackerel
Fried King Mackerel, served with fish sauce, chili, and chopped shallots. It has a distinctive salty flavor and goes well with porridge.

Actually, the restaurant only uses the fish’s body to do this menu, but they were out of stock, so we got its tail, which the texture is too firm instead.

Stir-fried Minced Pork with Chinese Black Olives
The pork is soft, not dry, and has a salty taste with a little sweetness and a mild aroma from Chinese Black Olives and the wok (Wok Hei).

The restaurant also sprinkles fried garlic on top, which makes some bites more prominently garlicky.

Mixed Vegetable Stew
The vegetables are so soft, the soup has a leading sweet taste and fragrant soy sauce. It isn’t greasy, making it enjoyable to eat. The bowl contains 2-3 pieces of pork belly, which adds to the flavor.
