One Chun Cafe & Restaurant, Phuket serves authentic local Phuket cuisine according to a family recipe that has been handed down for 3 generations. The taste is intense for most of the items, but not too spicy, and is foreigner-friendly.
Most importantly, the price for each dish is considered compatible to other general restaurants, where a-la-carte dishes start at only 90 – 120 baht, worthy of the Michelin Bib Gourmand award in all respects.

Phuket’s style steamed pork belly (Moo Hong)

265 baht – Soft and tender, perfect combination of sweet and saltiness, flavorful, with a slight tinge of spiciness, intense, nice aroma of pepper. A must-order item.
Stir-fried Malindjo leaves (Pak-miang) with egg

165 baht – Malindjo leaves stir-fried with egg. Sweet and salty seasoning, complimented with crispy shrimps.
Thai paste with dried shrimp and garlic

165 baht – Large crispy salted flavorful prawns, complimented with lots of accompanying steamed vegetables. Guaranteed to delight.
Deep fried pork with salt

150 baht – Perfectly fried light crispy pork, without the greasiness. Absolutely enjoyable.
Orange curry soup with seabass (Kaeng-som)

480 baht – A big serving of sour soup and fresh seabass. Flavorful curry broth, moderately spicy, with distinct aromatic spices.
It was a small pity that the coconut meat was a bit too firm.
Fresh crab meat with yellow curry and coconut milk, served with rice noodles

370 baht – Generous portions of crab meat, flavorful curry, a perfect combination of saltiness, oiliness, sweet and spicy, distinct aroma of coconut milk and curry paste.
Stir-fried Bitter bean (Sa-taw) with shrimp paste
220 baht – Distinct saltiness, followed by spicy and sweet. Large fresh prawns, not too much intense flavor or overwhelming smell of the cluster beans, fragrant shrimp paste.
This dish is highly popular that many people would order seconds (but we were so focused on enjoying it that we forgot to take photos…)
Spicy curry paste steamed with fish and crab meat (Hor-mok)

180 baht – Three not too big Hor-Moks to a serving. Smooth texture, mellow flavor, mild spiciness, aromatic curry paste and mild coconut milk, topped with large pieces of crab meat.
Southern-style prawn fritters

160 baht – Battered fried Eelgrass (Blyxa octandra Planch), the texture of which tastes similar morning glory, served with big fried shrimp. Mild flavor that goes well with the accompanying dipping sauce.
“O-Aew” Jelly

40 baht – Phuket’s signature dessert. Smooth sweetness with a distinct aroma of “Nom-maew” (the Rauwenhoffia siamensis flower), complimented with watermelon for additional delight.
