Phu Huai Isan offers an unseen view of the Mekong River. If you’re visiting Nong Khai Province, this place is worth considering.
Overview
To reach this viewpoint, we had to take a slow ride on an “E-tak” (a type of local vehicle) up the mountain path.
Despite the bumpy road, seats were comfortable, and the journey was short.
As we ascended, the landscape transitioned from dark rubber plantations to an expansive sky and the blue Mekong River, contrasting with the yellow glow of the road.
We had to wake up at 05:00 hrs. to capture this breathtaking scene, and it was absolutely worth it.
